The story of Bob Bemer's solution appeared first in the WALL STREET JOURNAL (June 20, 1997). A few other press reports trickled out in 1997. But in early 1998, the press jumped on the story. Readers began sending me clippings and e-mail links to the story. They were unaware that I had dealt with it last August.
