This detailed paper on the tax implications of y2k was prepared by a lawyer. Any businessman whose firm has an expensive y2k repair problem had better read it.

The good news is that if there is a collapse of the U.S. government, this won't affect you. Your firm will be bankrupt, and you will be out of work, but think of the taxes you'll save. (As Molly used to say to her husband, Fibber: "'Taint funny, McGee.")
