COMPUTERWEEKLY NEWS (Aug. 7) reports on the opinion of one Year 2000 PC expert that it's better to wait until 1999 to get a compliant PC repair than to rely on today's software patches. Some of these patches will not work with new boards being planned by manufacturers. A hardware fix is the only secure way to fix the 2000 problem.
