COMPUTERWEEKLY NEWS (Aug. 14) reports that large telecommunications users in Great Britain are considering legal action against suppliers who refuse to provide new, y2k-compliant equipment or repair old equipment.
One company, Thames Water, wrote to 17 suppliers about y2k. Nine replied. They sent vague or useless statements.
Meanwhile, the government is refusing to get into the battle.
