This estimate of the total cost of y2k worldwide is $2 trillion. Most estimates do not factor in downtime for businesses. This one does. Problem: It fails to mention litigation, which has been estimated in the $1 trillion range. Oh, well. What's a trillion bucks extra in this can't-lose stock market?
