The U.S. Postal Service is a quasi-government organization. It doesn't show up in the various reports on how the U.S. government's agencies are doing.
It makes no difference if Social Security makes the deadline, or even Medicare does (for you extreme optimists out there.) If the mails aren't compliant, what happens?
The U.S.P.S. is not compliant.
Send me a photocopy of a letter on letterhead stationery from the Postmaster General saying that the U.S.P.S. is compliant, and I'll delete this posting.
I hope he mails it before December, 1999.
