Fly the Frenzied Skies: The FAA's Computers

Comment:

This detailed report is longer than most people would want to read. The Federal Aviation Administration published it as a guide for repairing its computers. I make it available here to counter an unsupported argument that I have seen on line, namely, that the FAA is compliant today. It isn't. As the year 2000 approaches, the FAA had better get its computers up to snuff. If the FAA fails, this alone will create a masssive depression, even forgetting about banks and railroads.

If this really catches your interest, you can click from the document to the FAA's home page on the Year 2000 Problem. The FAA takes this problem very seriously.
