This is Sen. Bennett's bill to require publicly traded corporations to disclose expected y2k costs. I don't think it will pass. I also don't think it's enforceable in the time remaining to fix y2k. By the time some firm is brought to court for having disobeyed it, we will be well into the year 2000.
What is interesting is that this bill is posted on a Web site in New Zealand.
