Comment: 

Checking all embedded chips and replacing defective ones by hand is beyond the powers of man to achieve. The list of potentially vulnerable systems in New York State is proof.

For better or worse, the embedded chip problem will hit without any resistance from man's puny efforts to solve it (if any).
