On Monday, April 13, AT&T's data network went down. Initially, the company reported that it didn't know why.

NEW YORK, April 14 — AT&T Corp. said Tuesday it found the source of the problem that disrupted service on its frame relay network and has restored partial service to some customers. AT&T’s massive frame relay network, a high speed data network, suffered nationwide service interruptions beginning about 3 p.m. ET Monday.
