TECHWIRE (April 21) reports on a survey of 697 European organizations. Two-thirds had not even budgeted for a y2k repair. Just over half, 56%, thought that it's a serious problem. Three-quarters of them said that they had a y2k strategy, but only one-quarter of these "advanced" managers knew how much code their systems have. Only half of the organizations had established a y2k task force.
The y2k probleb is international. If Europe isn't compliant, then the the compliant world -- if any -- must disconnect from Europe. How? Take Eurpe out of the world's economy, and what do you have? The worst economic collapse in history.
