The pseudonomous Robert X. Cringely was the first person to tip me off to y2k back in early 1992, in his book, ACCIDENTAL EMPIRES. His warning did not register with me. Now he's back, and he's critical of Microsoft's claims for y2k compliance. Microsoft products are compliant, he says, except when they aren't. He's sort of a humorist, and he writes in a weird style, but, as I say elsewhere on this site, I should have listened to him earlier.
