This September 2 report says that the Canadian government has set up a committee to look into y2k. The committee will report back next June.
Let's hope it will be early June. We wouldn't want things to run late.
The Committee will focus on awareness: "We know how important it is for all Canadian businesses - large or small - to understand the problem and what needs to be done," Industry Minister John Manley said in a release.
Problem: the California White Paper says that awareness is the initial 1% of a y2k project. The existence of the committee indicates that Canadian businessmen are not yet at the awareness stage.
